Utica Maennerchor Bavarian Festival set for July 17 – 18
The Utica Maennerchor will host its annual Bavarian Festival on July 17 from 5 – 10 p.m. and July 18 from 3 – 10 p.m. at the club, 5535 Flanagan Rd., Marcy.
This event features great food, terrific entertainment and fun for the entire family.
The festival starts on Friday night with the traditional “Tapping of the Keg” at 5 p.m. Then the fun begins with Die Lustingen Almdudlers (“Dee Loo-stin-gen Ahlm-doodlers”) performing a variety of music for dancing and entertainment for all.
We have a variety of food options from funnel cakes to homemade cakes, German wursts to hot dogs, slinkies to French fries and German favorites like a sauerbraten sandwich and limburger cheese.
There is a $5 admission fee for adults and children over 12. This is a cash-only festival and we ask that patrons leave their pets at home. There will be plenty of free parking.
The festival has moved to a two-day event, with longer hours on Saturday this year.
The Bavarian Festival is our biggest event of the year. More than 3,000 people from all over the Northeast attend this event every year.
The money raised over this weekend keeps our club and its community activities active all year.
