Grazing planning toward what you want

Grazing planning toward what you want

Are you ready for the 2026 grazing season to be a game changer?

Are you getting all you can from your pastures and meeting your goals?

Do you want to add more grazing days, profit and pleasure from your management?

Curious about using a grazing chart and hearing from grazing practitioners?

If you answered yes to any question, do we have an experience for you!

Make your grazing plan come alive on March 24 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (including lunch) at the William H. Miner Agricultural Research Institute in Chazy, NY.

The immersive grazing planning workshop will take place inside the Joseph C. Burke Auditorium at 586 Ridge Rd. (just off Miner Farm Road). A tour of Miner’s dairy facility follows the workshop.

This event is open to all farmers and service providers with a grazing context. The interactive workshop will be led by grazing practitioners Brian and Kim Maloney of Brylee Farm in Thurso, Quebec; Cheryl Bruce, American Farmland Trust’s senior livestock & grazing specialist from Cornwall, VT; Pete Hagar, beef farmer and Clinton County SWCD district manager; and Troy Bishopp from the Northeast National Grazing Lands Coalition and Bishopp Family Farm.

Registration is free but you must register by March 19 for the included lunch. Call the Clinton County SWCD at 518.561.4616 ext. 3 or email at clintoncountyswcd@ccsoil-water.com to register.

A special thanks goes to the Miner Institute for the use of their facilities.

This workshop is sponsored by the Northeastern Region National Grazing Lands Coalition, the Lake Champlain Basin Program, Clinton and Essex SWCDs, New England American Farmland Trust, Ferme Brylee and the Vermont Grass Farmers Association.
